Guru Hargobind Sahib College, C.C. Head is a premier educational institution committed to quality higher learning, academic discipline, and social empowerment. Holding permanent NOC status from the Government of Rajasthan and permanent affiliation with Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU), Bikaner, our college offers various academic programs.
Founded in 2008 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Sandeep Singh Munday and Dr. Lakhvinder Singh, Guru Hargobind Sahib College was established by the Guru Hargobind Sahib Siksha Prabandhak Samiti at C.C. Head (Padampur, Sri Ganganagar). Driven by a commitment to expand higher education in rural and border areas, the institution began its academic journey in the 2008–09 session offering Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree programs.
Recognizing the college's robust infrastructure, academic integrity, and transparent administration, the University officially designated the institution as an Authorized University Examination Centre in 2013, providing local students convenient access to university examinations within their own region.
Responding to regional academic demands, the college was upgraded to a Postgraduate Institution in the 2016–17 academic session, introducing M.A. programs in Geography, Political Science, and Punjabi Literature.
The year 2023 marked a historic milestone when Principal Dr. Sandeep Singh Munday was approved as a Ph.D. Research Guide in Punjabi by Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU), Bikaner. This achievement officially launched doctoral research in Punjabi language and literature in Rajasthan through this college. In the same year, the institution start to publish the international peer-reviewed 'ARMAAN' Research Journal, cementing its position as an emerging hub for advanced research and academic excellence.
